I've recently been listening to a huge catalogue of 80's music for a potential future project. I know every single one of these songs and each one brings back a vivid image of a place, time and who I was hanging out with. Music is like that, it's an anchor. You remember emotions and it transports you across the years.
I was deeply entrentched in orchestral music in the 80's and never sat down and just rocked out to the magical tunes appearing on MTV when video killed the radio star. This week, and next, I'm going to strap in and rock out. Jessie's Girl, You Spin Me Right Round, What I Like About You and Whip It. Ear worms screaming Don't Forget About Me.
I love my life.
